Thursdays (for three weeks) at 4:00-5:30 pm, beginning February 18th
The beginning classes are taught in three week blocks to allow for practice in between sessions. Plus, we will cover a bunch of stuff in the beginning sessions that aren’t typically taught in knitting classes, like reading stitches and how to fix mistakes, which are the MAJOR trip ups for new knitters and the #1 reason why new knitters give up. We’ll also talk about things that add joy to knitting, like knitting journals and sharing your knitting with others. We’re gonna listen to pretty music while we knit, and snack and sip. I want you to love knitting as much as I do.
Blowing Out the Cobwebs [IntensiveRefresh]
Saturday, February 20th, 9:30-11:30 am
Is this you????
-You learned to knit years ago, most likely taught by your mom or grandma.
-You own knitting needles and some yarn but haven’t cast on for a long, long time.
Well, find those needles and untangle that yarn!
This refresher course may be just what you need to hop back on those needles. Using your own needles and yarn, we’ll review casting on, making knit & purl stitches, knitting garter, stockinette, & ribbing, and binding off.
Knitting Past a Scarf [IntensiveHat]
I’ll be scheduling this class soon…..this will be a two-hour class that teaches the skills necessary for knitting your first hat.
All classes are held in our studio which is located at 12320 Petersburg Road, just north of The Hornet’s Nest.
if you have a group of 3-5 and would like to schedule an independent class at a time not listed above, please let me know what will work for you and we’ll see what we can do!
One last thing…
knitting classes make great Valentines. Wrap the one you love in hand knits. Gift certificates are available and they are packaged adorably.
To register, please email me at email@example.com
